Paper Bag Reuse Ideas
Our packaging is completely compostable, and everything except the resealable pouches is also recyclable. While you can safely dispose the packaging without harming the environment in the process, it is even better if you can reuse the bags. Here are some ideas.
Store and ripen produce
Paper bags can help ripen fruit that is slightly unripe, by trapping the ethylene that the fruit makes. Try with apples, pears, avocados. Herbs like cilantro and fresh basil also last longer if stored in a paper bag and then in an airtight container.

Use as a beautiful wrap
Paper bags once flattened can be used as gift or book wraps. Leave in their natural color, or add your favorite embellishments like ribbons, glitter or stickers.

Make Crafts
The internet is full of inspiration on paper bag crafts. Some of our favorites are puppets, scrap notepads, jar/bag/gift tags, custom placemats and woven baskets!

Compost it
Collect your food scraps in a paper bag and once full, toss your produce in the compost bin and then tear your paper bag into small pieces and toss it into the bin too. The bags add carbon to your compost, which is used by the compost microbes for energy.

Collect Recycling
Add your small pieces of recycling like envelopes and mailers into the bag. Once full, toss the bag into your recycling bin. Our larger outer bags can accommodate your large recycling as well.

Use for plants
Brown paper bags can be used in various ways with your plants. Add as a layer below compost in the yard or planters to prevent weeds, create custom planters for small plants like succulents, wrap bouquets, add to compost or as worm fodder.
